Eddie Regan Murphy, a native of Brooklyn, New York, was born on April 3, 1961. Born into a family New York City police officers and amateur comedians, he grew up in the projects of Bushwick, where he lived with his father, Charles, who was a New York City police officer and amateur comedian, his mother, Lillian, who was a telephone operator, and his brother Charles. When David was three, his parents divorced, and five years later, he lost his father, and mother was hospitalized for an extended period. He graduated only a few months late because he doubled up on his classes, attended night and summer school, and enrolled in summer school.

A student in his graduating class voted Murphy as the most popular boy among his classmates. Murphy said he is interested in becoming a comedian. He Married Nicole Mitchell in 1988. Five children have been born to the couple. After 13 years of marriage, the couple divorced on April 17, 2006. After his divorce, he started dating Melanie Brown, who is the lead actress in the Spice Girls comedy series. During the 1980s, he auditioned for a role in ‘NBC’ network’s popular late-night comedy show, ‘Saturday Night Live! Live! Live!,’ and got selected for the position. After a while, he continued to perform in the show until one night he was asked to perform stand-up comedy since the channel was without content for a short while. Almost immediately, he became one of most popular comedians on the show, thanks to his excellent performance.
